Grado has recently change the colour of Statement and Reference headbands from black to a tan brown. Accordingly, the headphones you receive may not precisely match the colour found in the images.
The first thing you'll notice about the Grado RS1e headphones is their stunning, retro wood style. It is something that set apart its older models - the Grado RS1i and Grado RS1. However, the hand-crafted real mahogany earpieces are not just for show, because in typical Grado style, they serve a greater purpose. The new Grado RS1e headphones utilise a different species of mahogany than previous models, with an intricate curing process that optimises tonal quality.
Grado has outfitted the Grado RS1e with a 50mm dynamic transducer and class-leading eight conductor cable design in an open air configuration. The result? A smooth, controlled and balanced sound that deals with even the most cluttered recording with bounce, poise and grace.
Frequency response on the Grado RS1e headphones ranges from 12 to 30 KHz and the drivers are matched to 0.05dB. Put simply, the Grado RS1e is a stunning member of the Grado collection.
